MobLaundry

by TrollGusta

A webapp for checking the laundry machines in your dorm. If none are free, it'll notify you when the next machine is available.

Ambiance

by LCD Screensystem

Awarded: Second Place

We developed an application so that people could open it up, and, based on their GPS location and a list of Foursquare locations, leave either text, a photo, a song, or a voice message at that specific place. So basically, geo-cache a message/feeling for either the next random person, or a specific list of friends.

MemBrain

by The Game

Awarded: Best Windows Phone 7 App

MemBrain is a "smart" audio recorder application which only saves what you want it to hear. The program works by taking calibrating to the ambient audio level and only recording when it detects noise above that threshold. It's perfect for times when you don't have the ability to repeatedly press the stop and record button.

TagTanium

by Tag++

Awarded: Best Time Sink

TagTanium is technologically aided hide and seek. This time, the seeker has a new ally: your phone. At random intervals your phone will be "pinged" by sending the seeker your current location and you a notification. If you don't move, the seeker will quickly get in range and press his (or her) phone's tag button to take you out of the game. If you don't know anyone who wants to play, you can explore the public games and select one to join!

Biblioteka

by Biblioteka

Biblioteka can be seen as the "Penn's Google Maps for Books." You can search for books through our Android or web app, and it will browse and display the results from the Penn Libraries, Penn Bookcenter, Amazon, and JStor. Furthermore, clicking on book results from the Penn libraries will bring up an image of where exactly in the library the book is, and using our default map option will bring up a google map of where the book can be found on Penn campus.

Spontlight

by null

SpontLight prevents awkward conversation by ensuring that the people we connect you to are interested in talking about the same things as you. Simply input a couple of conversation topics, and be ready to talk to people around you with similar interests.

Party Crasher

by Drexel Dragons

Our app serendipitously leads you to a party (via an arrow and GPS) in a specified college network such as Penn at Drexel. Check in at the party when its sweet and check out when it sucks and we'll give you another party location. The app's algorithm in the cloud will never lead you to a party that's dying out.

DJFeed allows you to influence the party's music by voting for upcoming songs and rating previously played songs giving DJs instant feedback.
